Plastic-free packaging, every order
Made to break down, not build up
Every Plastno order ships in recyclable, plastic-free packaging. The boxes and paper wraps are made from FSC-certified paper, printed with non-petroleum-based dyes, and designed to go right back into your curbside recycling bin when you're done.
We pulled water out of our cleaning formulas so the refills could ship in lightweight paper wraps instead of plastic bottles. Less material, less weight, less shipping emissions. That's the kind of math we like.
How to recycle our packaging
Flatten the box. Stack the packing paper. Drop them in your curbside recycling along with your usual paper, cardboard, and cartons. That's it.
Your order funds real carbon cleanup
Grassroots Carbon
Grassroots Carbon helps U.S. ranchers improve soil and ecological health through better land management. Healthier soil captures and stores more carbon underground.
Mast Reforestation
Mast Reforestation combines forestry expertise with new technology to regrow climate-adapted forests in places where wildfires destroyed them.

Switching to sustainable cleaning is easier than you think
Sustainable cleaning shouldn't feel like a project. We designed every part of Plastno, from sourcing to breakdown, so the better choice is also the easier one. You restock your cleaning closet the same way you always have. The planet just gets a quieter month.
Since delivering your safe, non toxic cleaners does have a carbon footprint, we support cutting-edge companies that remove our carbon from the air.
Independently certified by third-party partners
Every Plastno product is independently certified to back up what we say about it. Not by us. By organizations whose entire job is verifying claims like the ones we make.

BPI Certified Compostable. Meets the North American standard for industrial composting. Plastno trash bags carry this certification and break down within roughly 180 days under composting conditions.

Sustainable cleaning ingredients you can pronounce
Every Plastno cleaning formula starts with ingredients you'd recognize from a grocery list. Plants, minerals, and other things from nature. No petroleum, no mystery solvents.
That doesn't mean we skip on performance. We test every product against the real benchmark: the cleaning supplies people are using today. If a Plastno formula can't pull its weight on actual messes, it doesn't get on the shelf. And we leave out everything we don't want in your home: petroleum, BPA, phthalates, sulfates, parabens, chlorine, ammonia, VOCs, and EDCs.
Sustainable cleaning, answered.
What does BPI certified compostable mean?
BPI is the Biodegradable Products Institute, the main certifying body for compostable products in North America. BPI certified means a product has been independently tested to break down in a commercial composting facility within roughly 180 days, with no microplastic residue. Plastno trash bags carry this certification.
What does TUV home compostable mean?
TUV Austria is a globally recognized certifying body for home composting. TUV home compostable means a product breaks down safely in a backyard compost bin, not just an industrial facility. Plastno trash bags carry this stricter home composting certification on top of the BPI standard.
Is Plastno's packaging really plastic-free?
Yes. Every Plastno order ships in 100% recyclable, plastic-free packaging printed with non-petroleum-based dyes on FSC-certified paper. No plastic mailers, no bubble wrap, no plastic inserts.
Is Plastno carbon neutral?
Yes. We offset 100% of the emissions from every shipment by funding verified carbon removal projects, including soil carbon capture (Grassroots Carbon) and forest restoration (Mast Reforestation). The offsets are verified by independent third parties.
Are Plastno products tested on animals?
No. Plastno is Leaping Bunny certified, which means no animal testing at any stage of product development, by us or any of our suppliers.
