Plastno Inc. ("Plastno," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your personal information when you visit www.plastno.com (the "Site") or purchase our products.
By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
This policy does not cover the Plastnofy app, which has its own privacy policy available at https://plastnofy.com/privacy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, our marketing emails, customer support channels, and any online interaction with Plastno. It does not cover third-party websites, platforms, or services that we link to or integrate with, each of which has its own privacy practices.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information from three sources: directly from you, automatically through your use of the Site, and from third parties.
Information you provide directly:
- Name, shipping and billing address, email address, and phone number
- Payment information (processed by our payment providers, not stored by Plastno)
- Account login credentials, if you create an account
- Order history and subscription preferences
- Newsletter and marketing preferences
- Customer support communications, including emails, chat messages, and reviews
- Any other information you choose to share with us
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and language settings
- Approximate geographic location (derived from IP address)
- Pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and referral source
- Video engagement and interaction data from shoppable video content
- Cookies, pixels, and similar tracking identifiers (see Section 6)
- Shopping behavior, including cart activity, purchases, and abandoned checkouts
Information from third parties:
- Advertising and analytics partners (including Meta, TikTok, Google, and Pinterest) may share information about your interactions with our ads and with our Site
- Affiliate and creator partners, when you arrive via a referral link or discount code
- Social media platforms, if you engage with Plastno content or log in via a social account
- Shipping carriers, for delivery tracking and address verification
- Fraud prevention and payment processors
3. Categories of Personal Information (for California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months include:
- Identifiers: name, email, phone, IP address, account ID
- Commercial information: products purchased, subscription history, browsing and purchase behavior
- Internet or network activity: site interactions, device and browser information, cookies and similar tech
- Geolocation data: approximate location from IP address
- Customer records: name, contact details, payment information (payment card data is processed by our payment provider and not stored by us)
- Inferences: preferences, interests, and characteristics drawn from the above
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process, fulfill, and deliver your orders and subscriptions
- Manage your account and customer support requests
- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription notices)
- Send marketing emails, with your consent where required by law
- Personalize your experience on the Site and in our marketing
- Run, measure, and improve our advertising on platforms like Meta, TikTok, Google, and Pinterest
- Manage our affiliate and creator programs, including attribution and commissions
- Analyze Site performance and user behavior to improve our products and experience
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our policies, and protect our rights
5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in the ways described below. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under California and some other state privacy laws, certain of our advertising practices are considered "sharing" or "sale" because they involve disclosing personal information to advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out of this (see Section 7).
Service providers. We share personal information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, order fulfillment, shipping, email delivery, customer support tools, hosting, analytics, tax compliance, and review management. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
Advertising and analytics partners. We share limited personal information (such as hashed email, IP address, and browsing activity) with advertising platforms including Meta, TikTok, Google, and Pinterest to deliver and measure targeted advertising. This activity may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under California and other state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7).
Affiliate and creator partners. We work with affiliate networks and creator platforms, including Shopify Collabs and Impact.com, to manage referral programs, attribute sales, and pay commissions. When you arrive at our Site through an affiliate or creator link, limited information about your visit and any resulting purchase may be shared with those partners for attribution and payout purposes.
Affiliates. We may share information with Plastno-affiliated entities for the purposes described in this policy.
Legal and safety. We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that it is required to comply with a law, court order, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plastno, our customers, or others.
Business transfers. If Plastno is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
With your consent. We may share your information in other ways with your explicit consent.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver relevant advertising.
Categories of tracking we use:
- Essential: Required for the Site to function (cart, checkout, login, security)
- Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, time on site, conversion rates)
- Advertising: Help us and our partners deliver and measure ads across other sites and platforms
- Functional: Remember preferences like language, region, and saved items
Third-party tools we use on the Site include:
- Shopify (e-commerce platform, checkout, and analytics)
- Klaviyo (email marketing, customer segmentation, onsite personalization, and reviews)
- Google (analytics and advertising, including Google Analytics and Google Ads)
- Meta (advertising and conversion tracking via Meta Pixel)
- TikTok (advertising and conversion tracking via TikTok Pixel)
- Pinterest (advertising and conversion tracking via Pinterest Tag)
- PostHog (product analytics and user behavior analysis)
- Tolstoy (shoppable video and video engagement analytics)
- Gorgias (customer support and chat functionality)
- Shopify Collabs (creator and affiliate program management)
- Impact.com (affiliate marketing attribution)
- Plastno first-party analytics for site functionality and personalization
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them directly to understand how they process your data.
Managing cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings or through our cookie preferences tool on the Site. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for California residents and residents of other states with similar laws.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access: Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and access to the information we hold
- Right to delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
- Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to portability: Receive your information in a portable format
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information (though we do not collect sensitive information as defined by law)
- Right to non-discrimination: Exercise your rights without receiving discriminatory treatment
- Right to appeal: If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision (applicable in some states)
How to exercise your rights. Email us at hello@plastno.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like to do. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
"Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." California residents and residents of other states with similar laws can opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by:
- Clicking "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of our Site
- Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser
- Emailing hello@plastno.com with the subject line "Opt Out"
We will honor your request within the timelines required by applicable law.
Canadian residents have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and residents of Quebec have additional rights under Law 25, including the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the processing of personal information. 8. Marketing Communications
We send marketing emails through Klaviyo to customers and subscribers who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email or by emailing hello@plastno.com. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription renewals) are not optional while you have an active account or order with us.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods include:
- Order and transaction records: 7 years, to comply with tax and accounting requirements
- Customer account information: For as long as your account is active, plus up to 3 years of inactivity
- Email marketing subscribers: Until you unsubscribe, plus up to 3 years of inactivity
- Customer support communications: Up to 3 years after the last interaction
- Analytics and advertising data: According to the retention settings of each platform, typically 14 to 26 months
You can request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Section 7), subject to legal retention requirements.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. No online service is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.
11. International Data Transfers
Plastno is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or Canada. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact hello@plastno.com and we will delete that information. We also do not knowingly collect or sell personal information of California residents under 16 without affirmative consent.
13. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and post a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
