A consistently clean home is rarely the result of one big deep clean. It comes from a schedule that keeps each job small and regular. The trick is building one that fits your actual life so you stick with it. Here is how.

Start with daily, weekly, and monthly buckets

Sort every cleaning task by how often it really needs doing:

  • Daily: wipe kitchen counters, wash or load dishes, reset the sink, quick tidy of high-traffic spots.
  • Weekly: bathrooms, floors, dusting, laundry, changing sheets, wiping appliance fronts.
  • Monthly: fridge, oven, baseboards, windows, vents, and decluttering.

A room-by-room weekly plan

Assign the weekly jobs to days instead of saving them for one exhausting session:
