The glass spray bottle you buy once and refill for years

Store-bought sprays are mostly water in a plastic bottle you toss when it runs out. This one you keep. Fill it at the sink, drop in a Plastno Multi Cleaner Tablet, and it becomes the cleaner you need, then you refill and do it again. The glass body does not hold odor or leach into what is inside, so every refill starts neutral.

How the glass spray bottle works

1. Fill. Fill the glass bottle about 90% with warm or hot water.

2. Drop. Drop in one Plastno Multi Cleaner Tablet and let it dissolve for 20 to 30 minutes.

3. Clean. Screw on the trigger once the water has cooled, then clean sealed counters, stovetops, sealed wood, and sealed stone.

What it's made of

Soda-lime glass

Soda-lime glass is the same material as a drinking glass, made from sand, soda ash, and limestone. We use it for the bottle body because it does not absorb cleaner residue, hold odor, or shed microplastic as it ages. Curbside recyclable.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is a widely recycled plastic, the one marked 5 in the recycling triangle. We use it for the trigger sprayer, the only plastic left in this product. There is no metal spring inside, so nothing rusts and the whole head stays one material.

Why switch to a glass spray bottle

A store-bought cleaner ships as 16 ounces of water in a plastic bottle you throw out when it is empty. This one holds the same 16 ounces, made at your sink from a tablet the size of a quarter. Buy the bottle once and the only thing you reorder is the tablet.

Before you switch to a glass spray bottle

Is a glass spray bottle better than plastic for cleaning?

Yes, for two reasons. Glass does not absorb cleaner residue or hold odor the way plastic does, so the bottle stays neutral no matter what you refill it with. It also does not shed microplastic as it ages. The tradeoff is weight and breakability, which is worth knowing before you buy.

What are the dimensions and capacity of the glass spray bottle?

16 fl oz capacity, 7.5 inches tall with the trigger attached, a 2.75 by 2.75 inch base, and 0.70 lb empty. One Plastno Multi Cleaner Tablet is formulated for exactly 16 ounces of water, so one tablet fills the bottle once.

Is the trigger sprayer plastic?

Yes. The trigger is polypropylene, number 5 in the recycling triangle, and it is the only plastic left in this product. It has no metal spring inside, so nothing rusts under a sink and the whole head is one material instead of a mixed part. A small filter inside keeps grit out of the pump.

Can I put hot water in the glass bottle?

Yes. The soda-lime glass is rated for warm and hot tap water, which is what dissolves the tablet fastest. Attach the trigger only after the tablet has fully dissolved and the water has cooled. Avoid pouring boiling water into a cold bottle.

What do I refill it with?

One Plastno Multi Cleaner Tablet per bottle. Each tablet is mineral-based, fragrance-free, dye-free, and PVA-free, and it dissolves in 20 to 30 minutes into a multi-surface cleaner for sealed counters, stovetops, sealed wood, and sealed stone. Tablets ship in a kraft paper wrapper with a separable aluminum liner instead of a plastic bottle. You can also mix your own: here is how to make a fragrance-free spray from a tablet.
